Tracy Newbern, LMSW, ACSW, CSWG, ACHPSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of the University of Michigan. She has worked with a large variety of clients within clinical inpatient and outpatient settings. Tracy has over 25 years of experience in clinical and administrative social work as well as experience working with hospice and palliative care and spinal cord injury clients. She has also worked extensively with clients who have been exposed to trauma.
Tracy employs a strengthens-based client centered perspective utilizing mindfulness psychotherapy and the whole health model to support clients with an emphasis upon a balance between the mind, body, and spirit. She has extensive experience developing clinical programming for veterans, families, and individuals using evidence based practices including Solution Focused Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Group Therapy. Her primary areas of expertise are in substance abuse, stress management, anger management, crisis intervention, grief and loss, and empowerment.
